HNN Action Groups

The Halton Nonprofit Network has three active Action Groups:  Information Sharing; Organizational Development, and; Public Education.

  1. The Information Sharing Action Group is focused on communications within the Network and across the sector, including the potential to be found in web-based technologies.
  2. The Public Education Action Group seeks ways to increase awareness and understanding of the non-profit sector in the broader community, including its contributions to the vitality and viability of the community. It is focused on promotion of the sector, increased awareness of issues faced by the sector and the facilitation of citizen or civic engagement.
  3. The Organizational Development Action Group is providing leadership on issues related to organizational capacity that are of concern to members of the Network and to the broader nonprofit sector in Halton. It identifies issues related to individual and collective organizational capacity in the sector, undertakes research, and develops and implements strategies that will address organizational capacity issues.

Funding issues are being dealt with by the Coordinating Committee itself.
